Lion King Characters

Mosi- not much is known about Mosi, but we do know that he was fighting in a war against another pride, trying to gain control of the kingdom. He was the leader of his pride, and wished to pass that title on to his son Mohatu after he died. He met his wife Nzuri when he was a cub, training to go into the war

Nzuri- Nzuri was the mate of Mosi, and fought in the war. She had a lot of trouble fighting after her cubs were born and was killed in a battle when her cubs were still young

Choyo- Choyo was the younger brother of Mohatu, and kind of resembles Scar. He was jealous of his brother when Mohatu was picked to be the next pride leader. But Mohatu let Choyo be the leader of the Outlands, but that didn't last too long

Mohatu- Mohatu was the first king of the pridelands. As a cub, he was stronog-willed, and dreamed of following in his father's footsteps. But after his father died, Mohatu ended the war by dividing their kingdom. Eventually, the other land fell, and the Pridelands became the sole land. 

Asali- the mate of Mohatu. Asali and Mohatu met after Mohatu became the king of the pridelands, when they were hunting. Nothing is known about Asali's childhood.

Uru- Uru was the daughter of Mohatu and Asali. As a cub, she was very obedient and wished to impress her father, who was determined to pass the heir onto a king. Uru met a rogue named Ahadi when she was a cub, and they eventually married.

Ahadi- Ahadi was annoyed by Uru when they first met, but they eventually fell in love when Uru got older. As a father, Ahadi was tough on his sons, to make sure that there would be a strong king after he died.

Mufasa- Mufasa was the son of Uru and Ahadi. He was always impressing his father as a cub, because he was eager to please, and very strong. He met a lioness cub named Sarabi, and did everything he could to impress her. When he was picked to be king, he took the job very seriously, and is known as the greatest king of the pridelands.

Taka (Scar)- Taka was the younger son of Uru and Ahadi. As a cub, he was always forgotten by his father, who was focused on Mufasa. He would always spend his time with his mother, until he met Sarafina. He fell in love with her, but when he met Zira, he liked Zira more. Sarafina broke up with Taka, and he became angry. He tried to attack some water buffalo, but one scraped him across the eye, leaving a Scar. When his brother was picked to become king, he swore his revenge.

Sarabi- Sarabi was the loving, and loyal wife of Mufasa. She was strong and never backed down to anyone. When she first met Mufasa, she didn't like him, but as they started to talk more, she fell in love. As a queen, she was responsible, but also balanced her time with her friends and her son, Simba.

Sarafina- Sarafina was the mother of Nala, and Scar's first love. But after Scar met Zira, Sarafina knew that Scar loved Zira more, so she broke up with him, and found someone else. A lot of people think that Scar was the father of Nala, but actually he was the father of Mheetu.

Athena and Erevu- Athena and Erevu were the parents of Sarabi. They lived on the outskirts of the pridelands, but were very loyal to the king and queen. When Sarabi met Mufasa, they were able to get closer to the other lions and lionesses in the pride.

Zira- Zira was the daughter of the leader of the third land that the kingdom was split into (when Mohatu split the land). Her father wanted her to become brutal and train to kill, but her mother didn't. After her parents died, she ran away to the pridelands and met Taka when he saved her from a river. 

Azola and Kuzimu- the parents of Zira. Azola was a good mother to Zira, and taught her how to hunt. Kuzimu, however, was brutal and killed Azola when Zira was a cub. Zira then agreed to train with Kuzimu because he blamed Azola's death on the hyenas, and told Zira that she must get revenge.

Simba- the son of Mufasa and Sarabi. Simba was a rambunctious cub, and was always looking for adventure. After Scar killed Mufasa, Simba ran away and grew up with Timon and Puumba. He returned to the Pridelands when he was grown up, and the hyenas turned on Scar, then Simba took back the throne.

Nala- Nala was the daughter of Sarafina, and Simba's best friend. After Simba ran away, she spent most of her life in fear and sadness. When she was grown up, she found Simba in the jungle, and convinced him to come back to the Pridelands. After Simba took his place as king, Simba and Nala married, and had two kids: Kopa, and Kiara.

Nuka- Nuka was the only child of Scar and Zira. Scar disliked Nuka, and didn't think that he would be the proper heir. When his half brother Kovu was chosen to become the next king, Nuka did everything he could to impress his mother and maybe, she would let him become king instead. Sadly, Nuka was killed by a log.

Vitani- Vitani was the daughter of Zira, but not Scar. When she was a cub, she met Kopa and fell in love with him. Zira hated that Kopa was the son of Simba, so she "killed" him. Then Vitani turned evil like her mother and did whatever her mother said. When Kopa returned, she became good again and lived a good life

Kovu- Kovu and Vitani were twins, but Scar thought that they were his children, so he chose Kovu to become the next king. Kovu was trained by his mother to avenge Scar and kill Simba and take back the throne. But he fell in love with Simba's daughter, Kiara, and they united the two prides. 

Kopa- Kopa was the first child of Simba and Nala. He met Vitani one day, and they started to fall in love. But Zira injured Kopa really bad and he ran away. Everyone thought he was dead, just like when his father Simba was a cub. But when he was older, he came back and reunited with Vitani and the rest of his family.

Kiara- Kiara was just like Simba when he was a cub. She also met Kovu, and they became friends. When they grew up, they met again and fell in love. This time, Zira realized that if Kovu could get close to Kiara, he might be able to get Simba alone. However, Kiara and Kovu stopped the war and united the two prides.

Lutalo and Munira- the children of Vitani and Kopa. They lived a normal life in the pridelands and loved playing with their cousins, Chaka, Shani, and Nama

Chaka, Shani, and Nama- the children of Kovu and Kiara. They also had a normal life and played a lot with their cousins, Lutalo and Munira.
